JGH LUMINAL LECTURESHIP

In 2007 the JGH Foundation introduced an additional lectureship in luminal gastroenterology. This lecture will be presented each year during Asian Pacific Digestive Week (APDW). The Trustees of the JGH Foundation the select the Lecturer after three (3) potential lecturers and appropriate topics are nominated by the Scientific Program Committee. More »

JGH EMERGING LEADER LECTURESHIPS

The Emerging Leader Lectureships have been created to recognise young scientists and clinical scientists within the region and encourage them as the Rising Stars of the future. A total of two (2) lectureships will be enabled per meeting by the Trustees of the JGH Foundation.. The chosen lecturers are required to submit a manuscript at the time of the meeting for publication in the Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology which will cover the content of his or her lectureship. The manuscript should be structured as a review article of between 2,500-3,000 words. Recommendations must be submitted to the JGH Foundation by 31 July each year. More »

JGH TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS

The JGH Travel Scholarship has been created to encourage attendance by trainees from less advantaged countries who may need financial support to attend APDW. A total of five (5) scholarships of US$1,000 each will be offered each year. Applicants do not have to submit an abstract and applications are welcome from individuals or member Societies. More »

JGH YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARD (YIA)

The purpose of the Young Investigator Award (YIA) is to stimulate interest in research training by rewarding outstanding examples of excellence amongst those involved in research training. In assessing the applicants for the YIA the selection committee will take into account the quality of the abstract, its scientific merit, the quality of the presentation and the applicant’s ability to defend the work. The YIA recipient will be presented a certificate and a cheque for US$1,000 at Asian Pacific Digestive Week (APDW). More »

JGH TRAVEL GRANTS

The JGH Travel Grants are to provide the opportunity for clinicians and scientists in the early stages of their career to broaden their education and experience the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. A total of ten (10) grants of US$1,000 each will be available each year. Grants are fully sponsored by the JGH Foundation and are administered by the organisers of APDW. To be eligible, applicants must have submitted an abstract for APDW. More »
