Hi I am a Kuchipudi student myself I learnt dance from Deepika Reddy in Hyderabad then moved to the US. I love dance too! I think you are really talented Freya I was just wondering how old are you? I am 13! I also love the expressions you put on while dancing!!

I finally found out who was the “magnificent and awesome” Kuchipudi dancer who performed here in Honolulu years ago on his way back to India from New York.
It was none other than Vedantam Satyanarayana Sarma (Vedantam Satyam).
What a World Living Treasure!!!
I just wish that there is a DVD video available to record his contribution on the art of dance.

i’ve been to kuchipudi village to participate in their annual december workshop organised by the telugu university of hyd bt was never lucky enough to meet the great guru..vedantam satyanarayan sharma…

I was curious to read about kuchipudi village because my surname Vedantam raised lots of questions all the time. I am settled in Hyderabad and have no connection to Kuchipudi or my ancestors village ‘Kunchavaram’. Thanks for the blog, it was pretty nice feeling to keep reading all that.
