Dance Practise Day
Today Sandeep took a sicky… He was very keen for Freya to start serious practise, but remembered in the morning that she could not dance in our rooms upstairs during the day, because directly underneath was the schools admin office, busy meeting prospective students and parents. So yet another obstacle to the dance saga. Anyhow, he soon solved our predicament by driving us though town to his old office, where I am writing from now. The plumbing is all gone up here on the 4th floor, so we are fertilizing the half dead plants on the balcony nicely. Freya is still hanging out to go to a proper toilet, but I am telling her “Just Do IT”!!!.
Freya has just finished a 2 hours class and we were thus all treated to Sandeep dancing all the steps she has seriously forgotten – I really wish all our Aussie friends will one day see the grace and perfection of this dance as only Sandeep can show it!…. Alas, still there is so much time needed to get Freya up scratch…really praying for that miracle. Sandeep went downstairs to check out the auto accessories shop, and Guy has just come back telling me that the windows are already off the new car for tinting! So I guess it will be a little while before we go to visit my old singing teacher, Mr Subramaniam, who lives near here.
Just reporting that Freya has made it to the flower pot, and is much relieved.
Hoping we will soon solve the slight problem of getting ourselves a home. It is a complicated business, as agents demand all sorts of fees for finding flats. Well…nothing happens very fast here, except perhaps for window tinting.

Hi everyone!
We are really enjoying your tales so far! This is such a wonderful way to communicate. Sounds like you are all having a great time and experiencing all the usual excitement and chaos of India! (Lene, could you tell me how to wash Freyas dance costume? I don’t want to leave it smelly the whole time you are away!) Have a lovely Christmas day – we will miss you all! Lots of love, Labade family.
Sarah and family.
